Context

Each year, thousands of young people in our region miss out on opportunities and face a future of poverty through no fault of their own.

Digital inclusion is changing that. By integrating technology across every stage of learning, from preschool to employment, we’re preparing rural communities to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

What We’re Doing

Early Learning

  • Children in KHULA pre-schools are introduced to iPad-based learning through play-based educational apps.
  • Educators receive support to integrate digital tools into early language and cognitive development.

In Schools

  • Learners use platforms like iSchool Africa, Advantage Learn, and Simi Maths to strengthen core Maths and English skills.
  • Tablets, smartboards, and Gen AI tools are used to enhance teaching.

Hub

Our two Skills Hubs operate as year-round, free digital training centres for our communities, many of whom have no access to Wi-Fi or devices at home.
